Explore what makes a race car move
About the Class
Vroom! States of Matter in Action
Race cars are states of matter in action. It takes solids, liquids and gas working in harmony to get a race car moving. During this workshop, students will explore all three states of matter by creating a car that moves through reaction power. The object of the activity is to understand which team’s car traveled furthest and how the states of matter impacted that result.
Allergy alert: Vinegar, citrus acids and baking soda
are used for experiment.
