NASCAR Hall of Fame and Toyota present Donation to Veterans Bridge Home
Funds donated by NASCAR Hall of Fame guests and fans help military families thrive.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (December 14, 2024) – The NASCAR Hall of Fame and Toyota teamed up again this year for the Holidays for Heroes fundraiser to give back to those who are serving active duty and to veterans of our nation’s Armed Forces.
On Saturday, NASCAR Xfinity Series driver William Sawalich (No. 18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing) joined NASCAR Hall of Fame Executive Director Winston Kelley to present a check to Veterans Bridge Home, a Charlotte-based organization that connects active-duty military, veterans, and their families to the community and helps them navigate employment, create social connections, and facilitate their successful transition to civilian life.
“NASCAR has always had a special tie with the military and our armed servicemen and women,” stated Winston Kelley. “We are honored that the NASCAR Hall of Fame and our guests can play a small role in giving back to military members who have sacrificed so much for our country.”
NASCAR Hall of Fame visitors who donated were able to “Trim the Toyota” by writing a personal message to honor a service member or veteran on a specially wrapped 2025 Toyota Tundra displayed in the NASCAR Hall of Fame lobby. Toyota also matched the funds that were given by NASCAR Hall of Fame guests. One hundred percent of contributions were gifted to Veterans Bridge Home.
To add to the holiday spirit, Toyota distributed 500 NASCAR Hall of Fame tickets to military families and guests.
The holiday season continues at the NASCAR Hall of Fame with additional Holidays at the Hall activities, which are free for members or with paid admission to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
