The Power and science behind race cars: chemical reactions
About the Class
Ka-Pow!
Chemical reactions are essential for engine performance. The power of an engine is the result of gas and air combining before combustion. Students in this class will build reaction cars to test the chemical reactions needed to power their vehicles. (Allergy alert: Vinegar, citrus acids (lemon or lime juice) and baking soda are used for this experiment)
